Lyrics
VERSE
All he remembers is the sound of the crash
It took a long time to claw this far back
More than ever, he needs someone to love
Lookin' for someone like dreams are made of

VERSE
She barely remembers not bein' ill
The news was colder than a bad winter's chill
But she's workin' through it, and she prays every day
For a love who'll remind her that life begins today

PRE-CHORUS
There were those who told him not to dream
And those who said she didn't have a prayer

CHORUS
But don't tell him not to dream
'Cause he dreamed, and it came true
Things aren't always as they seem
Don't tell her she doesn't have a prayer
'Cause she prayed, and it was answered
Now they make quite the pair

VERSE
What they've joined together can't be pulled apart
Two broken lives livin' heart to heart
Dreamin,' prayin,' and believin' what they will
Life can be tough, but together it's downhill

Repeat PRE-CHORUS/Repeat CHORUS/TAG
Thank God for dreams and prayers

Description
Story Behind the Song:
My nephew was nearly fatally injured in a car wreck and is very neurologically challenged for life. After long rehab, he was introduced to the woman in this saga, who just a short time earlier had been diagnosed with MS with debilitating results and seemingly for life. Because of their conditions, neither wanted to meet the other, but the person who introduced them insisted. The rest of the story is in the song. A few years ago and after about ten great years together caring for each other, she had to move to a different state to be assisted by her daughter, but they still speak on the phone quite a bit.
